For starting studies and to be a topper it is very necessary to choose right books and study material. A topper does not load himself / herself with lots of books. A topper always choose some specific books and focus totally on them. Yes it is possible that toppers can take some extra information from internet or from library.

       

Whenn we look at a below average or average student we always find them in following cases:

1. With lots of books.
2.They just keep on changing their study material.
3.Never have specific study material

The important books or study material that you must read are:

     

 1. NCERT

        

NCERT books are the most important books. Before reading any book you must firstly complete

NCERT. About 80-90 percent of the questions comes from NCERT, So it is very important for you to

complete NCERT 3 to 4 times by heart before the exam. If you do NCERT 3 to 4 times no one will

stop you to gain 80 to 90 percent .

  

2. PREVIOUS 5 YEAR PAPER

      

       After completing NCERT you have to do previous year question paper. By solving previous 5 year

question paper you will get the idea what type of questions comes in the examination also about 60 to

70% of the questions came from the previous year paper.

          

 It will be good for you to purchase a book which consists of all the previous year paper with solution

and all sets.

         

 The best time for doing this is from December to February.

          

 Mark some of the important question from them the first time you read. When you read the second

time read only the question you have marked the first time. And the 3rd time again Mark very

important questions from them and in the 4th time read only those question. This will save your time

and you will get some important questions from previous year question paper. During exam you have to only focus on the questions you marked the third time.

       

3. A REFRESHER /GUIDE BOOK

      A guide book or refresher is also important thing. You can invest in various books. But you have to

choose the right book otherwise any other book without any planning will waste your precious time

and will give you nothing.

  

 You should keep the following things in mind while selecting a guide book or A refresher:-

a) It should be up to date with the latest syllabus and latest syllabus changes.

b) It should contain accurate data and information.

c) It should highlight important topics and questions.

d) Doesn't contain topics and concepts that are not in NCERT and are out of syllabus.

4.SAMPLE PAPERS  

    

You must do CBSE sample papers published officially on CBSE website. I recommend you to solve the

m 3 to 4 times before exam. Because paper will come in the same pattern like in the sample paper.

    

 After completing CBSE sample paper you can do any sample paper in the proper 3 hour sitting with a

timer.But the sample paper should have the same paper pattern like CBSE sample paper.
